Intelligence report to the Knesset: Assad preparing for war, Syrians smuggling arms to Hezbullah, Hamas smuggling anti-aircraft weapons into Gaza

Brigadier-General Yossi Beyditz, head of the Research Department in the IDF Directorate of Military Intelligence briefed the cabinet today on the latest events. There were three principle parts to the briefing:1. The Syrians have remained at the forward positions that they took up this summer during the war in Lebanon. They are apparently preparing for war, although Beyditz believes that they are
