That's one in every five of the children you see in the park, on school buses, in your church. And that's only the ones officially defined as being in families living below the poverty line. The true number of Texas kids who live without adequate access to food, healthcare, and other basic needs is closer to 50%.
Low taxes + low service + a legislature and governor with messed-up priorities = starving Texas children. Why do we let them get away with it?
