Where's the gold?

The Jerusalem Post reports this evening that according to 'Palestinian foreign minister' Mahmoud Zahar, 250,000 kilos of gold were smuggled out of Gaza last summer following Israel's pullout. By my count, at the current price of $682.40 per ounce, that would be worth $5.3 billion dollars. That could support the Palestinian Authority for a week or two. But who 'stole' it? And where was that
