In the latest news from my ongoing obsession with last year's best EP, Pitchfork liked the Iron & Wine/Calexico show in Chicago, and they're too hip to like anything.And, if you've missed the Frontline documentary Country Boys this week on PBS, you really should tune in on Wednesday night. It's beautifully done and I am already trying to figure out how to integrate it into my politics and poverty class next year. Plus, tonight's soundtrack featured the Be Good Tanyas singing "In My Time of Dying" off their fantastic album Chinatown! Yay for good music on a great documentary! (It almost mitigated the scene where Chris had his school choir sing to the Trax of Michael W. Smith's "Friends." Almost.)
