White Dog proved herself an excellent counselor's assistant. Christine came to us in turmoil after confirming her pregnancy. She was disappointed in herself, unsure of what course of action to follow, and was shaking with pent-up emotion.

White Dog climbed into Christine's lap and sat quietly, letting her silky fur and measured breath have a calming effect. Sensing Christine begin to untense, White Dog engaged her in silly distracting play. Talking about options seem to flow more comfortably when interwoven through White Dog's antics.

Clear-headed and less fearful of making decisions, Christine was sent back into the world reassured by White Dog's nonjudgemental face in the window and a bark of encouragement.
