White Dog had the opportunity to get better acquainted with Tortuga, the tortoise. After bathing the tortoise, Steve put him on the floor for a little drying off and exercise.

Immediately curious, White Dog at first just stood over him and watched; then she gently nosed the shelled one. Tortuga, unthreatened, continued to stroll across the carpet. He did not, however, like it when White Dog tried to sniff his butt.
