White Dog has channeled her mid-summer ennui into a massive excavation in the yard. We have discussed some options, like a puppy swimming pool or more space to run, but her reaction has been reserved at best.

I believe White Dog is just waiting to see how much we will sweeten the deal before she gets excited. Steve thinks all she needs are her fill of treats and a pleasantly cool place to nap.
