The Web Host Industry Review reports that the Canadian Federal Government is proposing changes to the Canadian Copyright Act. Under the proposed amendments, internet service providers would come under an obligation to record users who swap a large about of material through peer-to-peer networks and send them warnings that their connections are being used for illegal activities. The amendments will be introduced into the Canadian House of Commons this spring.
