"A prosecutor on Sunday charged one of Egypt’s most prominent liberal intellectuals with insulting the judiciary because he posted a message on Twitter criticizing a court ruling against three American nonprofits that promote democracy." Do you all know that the US insisted in setting up the Hariri special tribunal in the Hague that its statute includes a stipulation that makes insulting the court in Lebanon as a punishable crime? So please spare us your outrage, even though the Egyptian dictatorship is outrageous in all of its decisions and pronouncements.
