Madeleines

(60 grams) unsalted butter

1/2 cup (65grams) all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 eggs at room temperature

1/2 cup (66 grams) sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Mantequilla sin sal (60 gramos)

1/2 taza de harina

1/2 cucharadita de polvo para hornear

1/4 de cucharadita de sal

2 huevos a temperatura ambiente

1/2 de taza de azucar

1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla

First, melt the butter and allow it to cool while you make the batter.
In a small bowl place the flour, baking powder and salt and whisk until well blended.

Primero, derrite la mantequilla y dejala enfriar mientras haces la mezcla.
En un recipiente chico coloca la harina, el polvo para hornear y la sal, batelo bien.

In the bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until the mixture has tripled in volume (in the picture below I'm about half way and you can already see the difference in size from the one above) and forms a thick ribbon when the beaters are lifted (about 5 minutes in an electric mixer about 10 by hand).  
En un recipiente, bate los huevos y el azucar hasta que la mezcla triplique su volumen (como en la foto de abajo, apenas iba a la mitad y ya se puede ver la diferencia de volumen con respecto a la foto de arriba;) como unos 5 minutos con batidora eléctrica y como 10 si lo bates a mano.

And that's it! I love how an altar brightens up a room, and I think it is a beautiful way of honoring the people we loved. Remember that it is not supposed to be solemn and dark, this holiday is about celebrating the people that meant something and welcoming them back with joy,  and let them have a taste of what they liked best  ;)

¡Y eso es todo! Me encanta como se ve un altar en una casa, creo que es una manera hermosa de honrar a la gente que hemos amado. Recuerden que no debe de ser algo sobrio y frío, ésta celebración se trata de recibir a la gente con alegría, que significó algo para nosotros y recibirlos con una probadita de lo que más les gustaba ;)
