STOP NEGOTIATING!The Repubs have a new line: the “compromise” is, We’ll vote to raise the debt ceiling, IF you give us all the cuts we want, including entitlement cuts. Anything else (revenues, etc) is an extraneous issue. That’s some deal: we’ll do what we HAVE to do if you will give us political cover for an incredibly unpopular series of decisions that will hurt you more than they’ll hurt
